Pharmacy Services

We have a team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians who work closely together, offering a range of appointment types:

Telephone medication queries

HRT initiations

HRT review

Hypertension reviews

Structured Medication Review (SMR)

A Structured Medication Review is a private, confidential discussion between the patient and a clinical pharmacist or another suitably qualified healthcare professional to discuss their medicines. The aim of the medication review is to check that the patient is prescribed the most appropriate medicines and that they get the best out of those medicines.

Pharmacy First

This new service is expected to free up GP appointments for patients who need them most and will give people quicker and more convenient access to safe and high quality healthcare. It includes the supply of appropriate medicines for 7 common conditions including earache, sore throat, and urinary tract infections, aiming to address health issues before they get worse.

Over the counter medicines (OTC)

Your GP, nurse or pharmacist will not generally  give you a prescription for over the counter  medicines for a range of minor health concerns.  Instead, over the counter medicines are available  to buy in a pharmacy or supermarket in your  local community. The team of health professionals at your local  pharmacy can offer help and clinical advice  to manage minor health concerns and if your  symptoms suggest it’s more serious, they’ll  ensure you get the care you need.  Please help the NHS to use resources sensibly.
